WHAT METRICS ARE MEASURED?
Here’s a breakdown of what the Evolt 360 scanner metrics are and what they mean:
BODY COMPOSITION
Total Body Weight: Your overall body weight, including fat, muscle, bones, and fluids.
Lean Body Mass (LBM): The weight of everything in your body except fat—includes muscle, organs, bones, and water.
Total Body Fat Mass: The actual weight of fat tissue in your body.
Body Fat Percentage: The percentage of your body weight that is fat. Healthy range varies: ~10–20% for men, ~18–28% for women (depends on age).
Visceral Fat Level: Measures fat stored around your internal organs. High levels are linked to increased risk of diseases like heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Ideal range: typically below 10 (Evolt uses its own scale).
Skeletal Muscle Mass: The muscle connected to bones, allowing movement. More skeletal muscle often means higher strength and metabolism.
Body Water Percentage: The proportion of your body that is made up of water. Typical range: ~50–65%. Influences hydration and metabolism.
Protein Levels: Indicates protein mass in your body, essential for muscle growth, repair, and enzyme function.
Mineral Content: Reflects the amount of minerals in your bones and soft tissue, important for bone health and overall cellular function.
SEGMENTAL ANALYSIS -
Breaks your body into arms, legs, and trunk, showing fat mass & muscle mass per limb/trunk.
Useful to identify imbalances—e.g., more muscle in one leg than the other.
METABOLIC AND HEALTH INDICATORS
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): The number of calories your body needs at rest to maintain vital functions like breathing and circulation.
Total Energy Expenditure (TEE): Your estimated daily calorie needs, factoring in your activity level.
Bio Age: Your biological age based on your body composition compared to statistical norms. Can be younger or older than your actual age depending on fitness.
Fitness Score: A proprietary number (out of 100) that summarizes your overall body composition, muscle-to-fat ratio, and other factors.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES VIA THE EVOLT ACTIVE APP:
Macronutrient Profile Suggestions: Based on your body type and goals (e.g., fat loss, muscle gain), the app gives tailored suggestions for daily:
